FAQs

  • Can we visit the nursery?

Absolutely! We love welcoming families to see the nursery in action on a typical day.

Please contact our enquiries team to arrange your visit. We offer open days, private in-person tours and Zoom tours.

Tours are available Monday to Friday at 10:30 am or 3:00 pm.

Open days run on select Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm. Check our tours page for more details.

  • What happens at an open day?

    At our open day, you’ll:

    – Tour our beautiful nursery and see our learning spaces in action
    – Meet our warm, caring team of educators
    – Experience the welcoming atmosphere that sets us apart
    – Ask questions and learn more about our approach to early years development

Our open day will run from 10am to 2pm.

During the day, you’ll have the opportunity to view all our eco-conscious rooms, which will be set up with activities and toys so you can see the nursery on a ‘typical day’.

Don’t forget to grab a goodie bag and brochure, which is filled with helpful information about our ethos, fee plan, menus and a gift!

  • What are your opening hours?

We’re open Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, for 51 weeks per year.

The nursery is closed on bank holidays and for three inset days annually.

  • What is the minimum attendance plan?

The minimum attendance we offer is three full days per week, and every plan must include either a Monday or a Friday.

If you wish to make changes to your plan, we require two months’ notice. Please note that all changes are subject to availability and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

  • What do your fees include?

    Our all-inclusive fees cover:

    – Freshly prepared meals and snacks

    – Infant formula

    – Nappies and wipes

    – Extracurricular activities

A detailed fee chart will be provided by our enquiries team once your preferred location has been confirmed.

Please note that monthly fees include bank and public holidays, as staffing costs remain consistent throughout the year, even during closures.

  • How do you offer nursery places?

We review availability on an ongoing basis and contact families on our waiting list as soon as a space becomes available.

To secure a place, we require:
    – A non-refundable £70 registration fee
    – A one-month deposit (used towards the settling-in period)
    – A completed Registration Form and Parent Agreement

Places are offered in the following order of priority:
    1. Existing children increasing sessions
    2. Siblings of existing children
    3. Children transferring between Maryam’s locations
    4. Date of registration and matching preferences

Please note that while sibling places are prioritised, they cannot be guaranteed. If you’re expecting another child, let us know early so we can plan ahead.

Matching preferred days and start dates is also subject to availability.

  • What if there isn’t a space available right now?

If a space isn’t available immediately, we’d be happy to add your child to our waiting list.

A non-refundable £70 Waiting List Registration Fee secures your spot.

Once received, we’ll confirm your position by email and keep you updated on any changes.

When a space becomes available, we’ll contact you with an offer. If you decide to accept, a one-month deposit will be required to confirm your place.

  • How does the settling-in process work?

The settling-in period usually takes place over the three weeks before your child’s start date:

    – Day 1: 1 hour
    – Day 2: 2 hours
    – Day 3: 3 hours
    – Following days: Gradually increase to half days, then full days, at your child’s pace.

Parents begin by staying in the room, then nearby, and eventually stepping out for short periods — helping your child build confidence and trust.

Fee: £15 per hour, covered by your one-month deposit.

Any remaining balance will be deducted from your first invoice.

“The whole team was so kind, caring and thoughtful. Every time I dropped Robbie off he was so excited, and he is so well prepared for school. If you’re looking for a nursery, I cannot recommend Maryam’s enough.”
